First of all you will need to open the case of the computer by sliding the left side panel open. If there are screws in the rear then unscrew them and put the panel out of the way. Thereafter you will have to find the old power supply which could be at the upper rear area of the computer. Some computers like gaming computers could have theirs at the bottom. Moreover, you will have to plug in the computer in order to ensure that it boots the operating system in place. One safety precaution is to keep your hands off the computer when doing this. If the personal computer does not boot well then you could crosscheck the connectors to the power when the computer is not plugged.
